Folk Law is committed to assisting San Francisco residents who have not traditionally
had access to means of empowerment. A strong sentiment has arisen which proclaims that
there are essentially two societies operating side by side: one for those who can afford
an attorney and political influence, and one for those who cannot.
Folk Law seeks to bridge this gap by acting as a forum for ideas and expression. Folk
Law's audience will be exposed to empowering insights into art, culture, civic affairs and the
law as a way to give voice to the aspirations of everyday San Francisco residents.
In addition to informative topics and interviews, the program also features some of the
Bay Area's best known folk artists... each one contributingting to the diverse make up of
folk music - one of this country's most beloved traditions.
